Free Member events at Annual Conference

We hope you’ve registered for this week’s ALA Virtual Annual Conference (there’s still time if you haven’t!), but I also want to share with you some free member events that you don’t need to be registered for the conference to attend since it’s virtual this year.

  • First and foremost, Happy Hour!
    Friday, June 25, 6:00-7:00pm CT
It’s our first Happy Hour together as Core, so join us for fun and games with your favorite cocktail, mocktail, or other fine beverage to celebrate!

  • 15 Interest Group Discussions
Friday, Saturday, and Monday, June 25-28
Fifteen of our interest groups are holding discussions on hot topics and current issues. Register for one or all 15.

  • Core Board Meeting

  • ALA Virtual Inauguration
You are invited to take part in a historic virtual event! Join Patricia “Patty” Wong at 1 p.m. CT on June 29, as she begins her term as the first Asian American to serve as president of the American Library Association (ALA) and shares her plans for leading the association through an exciting time of change. This is also when Lindsay Cronk will become our new Core President, and Margaret Heller will become Core President-Elect!
    Register

All of these events are free, but you can also register for the full conference to attend our President’s Program with Kaetrena Davis Kendrick, 27 programs, and everything else Annual Conference has to offer.

See you at Happy Hour!
