• Attend the Core 5 Year Anniversary FREE Presentation on Wednesday, September 10 from 1:00pm – 2:30pm CT. We will discuss the recently published book Generative AI and Libraries: Claiming Our Place in the Center of a Shared Future with authors Michael Haneg and Chris Rosser. There will be a Q&A session after the presentation.
• Registration for Core Forum 2025 is open! Join your colleagues November 12-14 in Denver, CO, at the Hilton Denver City Center! Reconnect with friends and make new connections while celebrating the intersection and overlap of the core work we do. • The ALA 2026 Annual Conference Call for Program and Poster Proposals is open through September 22, 2025!
• Core is offering several Fundamentals Web Courses throughout summer and fall! This series of related online courses covers basic topics that enhance skills in various areas of library work.
• Present a webinar or moderate an e-Forum Discussion for Core! Send your e-forum discussion idea to core-eforum+help@groups.io. Complete the webinar proposal form to submit your webinar idea.
• Core publishes its three journals–Information Technology and Libraries, Library Leadership & Management, and Library Resources & Technical Services–open access without charging authors fees. We invite your library to join Core in sustaining the continued excellence and availability of these journals. Now you can show your support by selecting the collection [American Library Association] ALA/Core Division Open Access Journals in EBSCONET and Fokus (Harrassowitz) and pledging $300 per year.
