Zhaneille is the E-Access Librarian at Duke University Libraries.

What do you value about Core?
The ability to join and be a part of groups and communities that feed my interests and work alongside like-minded members.
How long have you been a Core member?
Two years.
What drew you to and continues to attract you to the Core Community?
As an ‘early career’ librarian, I am constantly inspired by the learning opportunities in the Core community. While my colleagues teach me so much, it’s nice being able to learn from other librarians and library workers from different universities and organizations.
What are you working on now that you’re excited about?
I’m co-writing a ” Federated Authentication For Librarians” booklet with my Authentication and Authorization Committee members.
What are you currently reading/listening to/watching/making?
I’m currently reading “Never Whistle at Night: an indigenous dark fiction anthology” and designing wall decor that I’ll laser-cut at my local makerspace.
What advice can you share with others for a fulfilling and beneficial Core experience?
Find your interest and don’t be scared to join different committees. If you’re new, you’re welcome to learn from and with Core members. You also get out what you put in so share that idea, thought, or feedback. You will be shaping your group and the wider Core community.
